Dilute Phase Systems
Dilute phase transfer systems is the most commonly utilized means
of conveying materials. Unlike
Dense phase conveying which typically uses high pressure and low
gas volumes, dilute phase conveying transfer is accomplished by
low pressure (15 PSI or less) and high gas volume. Increased degradation
of the materials to be conveyed is typically seen but may be minimized
by controlling the velocities and conditioning the gas. Several
types of dilute phase systems can be provided dependant upon the
application. These are Vacuum Batch, Pressure Batch, Continuous
Vacuum and Continuous Pressure. Testing of the materials to be
handled can ensure the proper selection and to maximize performance.
